Teollisuuden Voima Oy (TVO) is a privately owned electricity generation company, owned by Finnish industry and power companies. The company supplies electricity to its shareholders at cost price. The company owns and operates two nuclear power plant units on the west coast of Finland at Olkiluoto. In addition to the nuclear power plant, TVO also has a share in the Meri-Pori coal fired power plant. TVO produces one fifth of the electricity in Finland.

The two nuclear power plant units currently operate both at 840 MW net output, and together they amount to nearly 20% of all electricity produced in Finland. The Olkiluoto plant has operated very reliably for over 20 years. The load factors for both units have been at the international top level for almost the entire operation time of the plant. The turnover in 2001 was 219 million euros.
