Jean-Claude Charrault
Directeur Général 

Jean-Claude Charrault was born in Strasbourg (France). He graduated from the "Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures de Paris" in 1956.

His professional career started in October 1957 in the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique. In January 1960, he joined EURATOM as research and project engineer.

From 1971 to 1981, he was head of division in the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission, responsible for economics and development prospects of nuclear and renewable energies.    In 1981, he became head of the nuclear policy division.

On November 1st 1995, he joined the European Energy Forum, as Director General.   He took over from Jean-Claude Béranger, who has been elected Secetary General from the begining without interruption.

 

Pascale Verheust
Directrice de la Coordination 

Pascale Verheust comes from Brussels (Belgium). She holds a translator's degree from the Institut Libre Marie Haps (Brussels) in French (her mother tongue), English and Spanish. She also speaks Dutch. During her studies, she had the opportunity to train four months in Barcelona (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona), in the context of an exchange program.

After her 4 years studies, she first worked as a translator. She then worked for the Tractebel energy engineering group assisting several departments in translating and editing texts.

In June 1999, she began her work at the European Energy Forum as Assistant to the Director General.


Over the years, her responsibilities constantly grew and her task now mainly consists in the coordination of the EEF activities, including organisation and preparation of the EEF events and daily administrative management.

 

Bertrand Rodrique
Gestionnaire de Projet 

Bertrand Rodrique was born in 1978, and comes from Ciney (Belgium). He holds a translator's degree from the Institut Libre Marie Haps (Brussels) in French (mother tongue), English and German. He also speaks Dutch.

He joined the European Energy Forum on January 10th 2002 and he works as an assistant. He supports Mr Charrault, the Director General, in his daily work and helps in co-ordinating and organising the EEF activities.
