Associate members
We represent our members before international regulatory bodies, and have observer status as a non-governmental organisation with global and regional regulatory bodies who have an interest in marine environment protection. These include: the International Maritime Organisation (IMO); the United Nations; the International Labour Organisation (ILO); the European Union (EU); the Oslo Paris Convention (OSPAR); the Helsinki Commission; the Barcelona Convention (Mediterranean). In addition, we work closely with other United Nations Agencies including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and with environment/conservation bodies such as the World Conservation Union (IUCN). We also co-sponsor the Offshore Oil and Gas Environment Forum.
