Since July 2004, Gas Transport Services B.V. has been responsible for managing the gas transport network in the Netherlands following significant amendments to the Netherlands Gas Act (Gaswet). This legally independent autonomous organization has taken over the duties in this field from the Gasunie business unit that was previously responsible for national gas transport. This business unit will remain responsible for the technical management and maintenance of the gas transport network. Gas Transport Services B.V. deals in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner and reliability, quality, safety and environmental awareness are top priorities. It will enhance the market mechanism in the Netherlands by providing high-quality services to customers. Gas Transport Services B.V. is
a wholly-owned subsidiary of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie. It has its
registered office in Groningen and its own Supervisory Board.
