AREVA, the world leader in nuclear power and connectors, gathers the operation of COGEMA, FRAMATOME ANP and FCI. AREVA operates in every sector of the civilian
nuclear power industry. In the Front End of the fuel cycle, the
group mines, concentrates, converts and enriches uranium, each an
essential step in making nuclear fuel. In the Reactors and Services
sector, AREVA's engineers and technicians design and build nuclear
reactors around the globe and help operators achieve optimum plant
performance and maximum safety. In the Back End of the fuel cycle,
spent fuel unloaded from reactors is reprocessed, allowing 96% of
its content to be recycled and final waste to be reduced in volume
and safely packaged for disposal.
